Our Story
Hingham Jewelers is a family-owned business, now in its third generation.
In 1948, after serving in World War II, Angelo "Mike" Manjos decided to follow his passion for watchmaking. He spent $500 to open a tiny storefront in Hingham Square with his wife Helen.
By the 1950s, Hingham Jewelers moved to a new location on nearby South Street. It flourished there, becoming a staple within the community.
Then, in 1988, a massive fire engulfed a series of stores in downtown Hingham. Hingham Jewelers burned to the ground.
With the help of Stacey, Mike and Helen's daughter, the business re-opened and moved to South Hingham. Over the next decade Stacey, and her husband Dave Page, grew the business into the fine jewelry store that it is today.
Together in 2004, Dave and Stacey moved the business again. This time just down the street to its current location at 35 Whiting Street.
Michael, Dave and Stacey's son, is now the third-generation to helm the business. While he grew up working at the store throughout childhood, he joined the business full-time in 2020 after working as a television meteorologist for nearly 10 years.
Beyond offering the finest selection of jewelry on the South Shore, Hingham Jewelers prides itself on offering unmatched customer service to each guest.
As a family-business, with deep roots in the community, we serve each client like family. We're proud to earn your trust, not just while selecting an engagement ring or meaningful gift, but also while completing any number of in-house jewelry and watch repairs.
That's why "we're not your average jewelry store."
