Last fall, a client came in with a box full of jewelry she recently inherited from her mother.
Our experts sat down with her to conduct a Jewelry Box Consult, sifting through the pieces to determine which items had value, and which were simply costume.
After separating the fine jewelry from the costume pieces, the client decided she wanted to trade-in a diamond necklace, putting the value towards a beautiful diamond ring that she loved in our showcase.
Then, a few months later, the client came back. She wanted a band to go with her stunning new ring. She brought in a series of rings, all of which were older, hoping to use stones from those rings in the new band.
Our design team went to work, measuring the stones she had to work with, and mapping out a plan to make the new band.
We ended up using the diamonds she had in an old ring jacket for the new band, which paired nicely with her new diamond ring.
The client was thrilled. Seeing the results, she wanted to change some of her other rings as well, setting them in white gold to match the new ring and custom made band.
Our team reset her mother’s ring from yellow gold to white gold, and then went to work on a new custom sapphire ring.
The client had an existing sapphire ring, but it was set in yellow gold. She wanted that to be in white gold as well, and she wanted a bigger sapphire in the new ring.
Our design team created a computer rendering of just that—a sapphire surrounded by a diamond halo.
While we supplied the new, larger sapphire, we used the customer’s existing diamonds from an old wedding band for the halo, and a few small stones from her old sapphire ring for the diamonds in the shank of the new ring.
The end result of all these projects provided the client with multiple new rings, at a fraction of what brand new rings would’ve cost.
