Have you noticed your white gold starting to fade, or look less brilliant than it once did? Don't worry, that's normal!
White gold is a mixture of pure gold and a metal like nickel. That's how pure gold, with its yellow color, suddenly becomes white. To make the white color even more brilliant jewelry is often plated with another metal, rhodium.
Over time that rhodium plating wears off. For some pieces that might happen over months, or for others years.
The rate at which the wear happens depends in part on your daily life. Do you wear your rings to the gym, or while swimming? Do you use hand lotion with your rings on? Chemical interactions like can accelerate the wearing process.
Fortunately your jewelry's original white color can be restored with a fresh rhodium plating. Our in-house Goldsmith is trained in that process, and will be available for plating on designated days each month.
To have an item rhodium plated that day, items will need to be dropped off the day before.
