Many of our long-time clients boast jewelry boxes full of sparkly pieces, each representing a special time in life. At some point, many clients feel like they simply have "too much" jewelry.
Trust us, that is a problem we can solve!
This client recently came to us with several pieces she'd collected over the years--gifts from her husband, mostly, including her original engagement ring. She said she wasn't wearing it all--there was too much of it.
Instead of letting the beautiful pieces, and the memories, languish in a jewelry box, she wanted to custom design a piece that incorporated as many of the pieces as possible.
The first step was removing all of the diamonds that she had accumulated. We meticulously measured each one, so our designers knew what they had to work with.
From there, we started brainstorming.
We settled on a ring. The client wanted something she could wear every day, but she wanted it to be sturdy enough so she didn't have to worry about it.
She wanted a bold, different look, but she didn't want anything that would be too big for her finger. Nothing that would be uncomfortable between her fingers.
Our designers created this 3D rendering of a possible design, using the three largest stones she had as the focal point. Those would be set in half bezels to soften the look a bit.
In the next row we set round diamonds she had, finished with a rope design on each side for an extra pop.
With our client's approval we went ahead and created the ring. Our local Goldsmith set a total of 21 of her own stones into the new ring, combing all those pieces she was no longer wearing into this one spectacular ring!
