Sometimes it's just time for a change! We change our clothes, so why not our jewelry, too? After all, we wear some pieces every day.
This project centered around a client who wanted a new and modern look for her bridal set.
Her original engagement ring and wedding band were set in yellow gold. The engagement ring featured a diamond flanked by two sapphires.
While she did want to stick with a three-stone look, she wanted to move to white gold and replace the sapphires with diamonds.
As it so happened, she had two family diamonds. One was from her mother-in-law, and one from her own mother, each in other pieces of jewelry.
We decided to use her original engagement diamond in the center of the new ring, placing these two family diamonds on each side.
For an additional pop we created a double row of small accent diamonds down each side of the ring.
We also found and modified a single-prong diamond wedding band that works perfectly with the new engagement ring.
With the sapphires from the original ring, we created a pair of earrings. The sapphires are now bezel set in yellow gold.
The new set of rings is really gorgeous, and certainly feels fresh. The best part: we were able to maintain the sentimentality of the family diamonds, and from her original sapphires!
